[ELW] Endless Lycan Warpath

He stabbed his spade deep into the sodden earth beneath his feet as he caught a glance of the manor house atop its hill over the trees, the glow in its round central window created by the warm fire within, he dug harder still, comparing the flames of the manor houses stone fireplace to the burning embers waiting for him in the grate at his own wooden hovel, he could not know it yet, but this night would change him forever, see his fate altered. The werewolf Teejus had been stalking him all night, biding his time, waiting for his moment, this was it. The farmer looked up as he heard the pounding of paws on the wet ground, something massive was racing out of the trees at the other side of the muddy field, it covered the ground between them before he could even register it as a threat, it was over in a flash of diabolical fangs, the warmth of blood engulfed the farmers hand as his arm bled openly, he fell to his knees, but no pain penetrated him, instead, he felt strength, more of it than he had ever experienced, the light of the full moon seemed to become brighter, every sense he posessed seemed keen as a blade, he could hear every movement from within the forest, he picked up secret messages he had never before sensed on the wind, their odours telling him all he needed to know, but another feeling stirred within him, digging the earth roughly could no longer solve this, it was rage, pure and un-diluted, he attempted to draw breath, a deep, un-earthly growl broke from his lungs, who first?

He awoke, his eyes felt blurred, his ears dull, last nights burst of sensory clarity had ended, but where was he? A roaring fire, a wing-backed chair, fine, soft carpet and a large, round window...This was the manor house! A hundred memories flooded him, he was ripping aside a thick oak door as if it were made from matchsticks... A wooden spear, free of its wall bracket, splintered as he waved it aside... The master in his red gown curled in a corner, whimpering, the smell of fear, the master had reaked of it... Last night, a cruel tormentor of those who served him had tasted bitter vengence, and a wolf had tasted its first blood...
