Even at night I remain in the shadows, a mere wraith of the man I once was. Under my cloak, made from scraps of darkness and bound together with the souls of my defeated foes, there is a dull gleam of the silver scale mail that lies beneath it, even that has become tarnished from my presence.
I was once of a house of great renown, in one of the closest circles of the royal families, but we drew the attentions of far greater powers than any mortal can wield, our family was chosen as the protectors of our land, the most vital people, yet the most shunned and despised. We are the last line of defence against the hordes of the beast, the lycanthropic curse that threatens to envelope us all.
