The day dawns and so strides forth a new vampire.
She rises from cold flames, a wisp of smoke encircling her. She looks to the moon with glazed dark eyes and the fear inside her is soon faded. Her pearly white fangs flash briefly as her lips curl a little, the blood calling. Night seems to absorb her as she relaxes against its steady beating, the pulses of nature throbbing silently around her, loud in her ears. She bows her head, the darkness seeming almost to blanket her as she steps forward through the darkness. She is silent and alone. Her soul was lost but she knows she shall find it for her mind is steady as the stars themselves.
Firefly is her name, her hair dark as the abyss from which she has come. Her real name has been lost. She longs for a companion but fears the worse from this sombre air in which she is sealed.
