She stood in the clearing gazing up at the full moon. The wind lightly tugging at her skirt. A single tear slid down her ivory cheek. *They're gone, all gone. My family, my friends...I'm all alone.*She sank to her knees and cradled her face in her hands. *Damn those bloodsuckers! Damn them ALL! I'll make them pay one day.*
She heard a rustling in the brush to her left. She looked up to see a hooded figure come out of the shadows. *Do you seek revenge upon the vampires, moonchild?* A soft voice spoke from beneath the dark shroud.
She nodded and stood, emerald eyes gleaming. Her garnet hair tumbled about her shoulders and down to her waist in perfect spiral ringlets. *By any means possible.* She hissed between clenched teeth.
*Then come, my name is Valandra Dawn, you are amoung friends.* The cloaked figure turned and beckoned her to follow and she did.
