The Victorian Protagonist
I am the product of the Victorian age, introduced to Darkness in London in the year 1880.
I am a proper member of Victorian society. I am civil, polite and stoic, with very high standards of propriety. Some say I am prudish and utterly horrified of anything that which is not spoken of in proper society. Idealism and Reason coexist with mysticism and hypocrisy.
Secret societies ( such as my clan ) provide the appropriate Victorian gentleman or lady a way to indulge in taboos. Certain ideals just arent part of the normal flow of society, so people who uphold them join societies of like-minded fellows. Mysticism fills a spiritual void, offering glimpses of the supernatural in a world where faith itself is challenged.
