Víðarr or Viðarr (often Anglicised Vidar) is the son of Odin and the giantess Gríðr in Norse mythology. He is the god of silence and revenge. In the reborn world that arises after Ragnarök, Vidar is preordained to return with his brother Váli.

During Ragnarök, Odin is eaten by the wolf Fenrir and Vidar will avenge his death by killing the beast. According to the Vafþrúðnismál, Vidar kills Fenrir by stepping on his lower jaw with his foot, on which he wore a shoe that consisted of strips of leather which men, followers of the Æsir, pare off at the toes and heels of their shoes to strengthen it. Having his foot placed, he will take the wolfs upper jaw and tear the beast apart.

The Warriors of Vidar has vowed to honor his legacy, by hunting, and crushing, the abominations todays world calls werewolves. Not for victory, or to win wars, but for pure, raw fun and a seat in Valhalla, next to their patron God himself.
