Clan Description
You open the massive oaken doors and step inside, your eyes adjusting to the light...
You have entered unto a large, spacious building in which there are what might have been considered spartan furnishings at one point in time, but a caring touch has been so generously provided. A lush, purple rug covers one section of the room in the corner, around which a horseshoe of couches, chairs, and large pillows has been arranged, a sort of meeting area provided. The rest of the floor is of hewn chunks of polished marble, mosaic patterns representing the basic elements in nature as well as a few others that are not easily recognizable. Glancing upwards, a bit of surprise overcomes you as you see that the ceiling is made in the likeness of the night sky, in the center of the room a full moon of white marble and ivory, around which several glowing stars are hewn out of glowing gems of unknown origin. Near the far wall from where you stand there is a large fireplace in which the ashes lay cold, yet a large amount of split wood lays neatly piled nearby suggesting as to the amount of warmth present within. In the very center of the room a fount spouts clear waters into a basin carved in the likeness of cupped palms, upon touching which the water turns a dark, swirling red and slowly drains out the fingers into a smaller basin which leads back into the fountain itself, perhaps elsewhere after a ways. To your left and right, staring out over the premises are large, stained-glass windows, those of which have been made so that they fold outwards, allowing access to a slight balcony onto which one may present oneself in order to give greeting or warning to those who should visit. In the corner of the room near the staircase which lives to the living quarters and administrative offices, there is a small sort of bar area provided for living guests, so as to make them feel more comfortable after considering with whom they chat. The material of which the actual bar is carved out of is an elaborate S of ivory and ebony that have been, somehow, fused together, reminescent of a balance. Beside the actual staircase itself is an immense mirror which has been grafted into the wall, well polished and spotless, and in which the words SHADOWS GATE have been inscribed, articulate spirals and swirls of ivy outlying the edges.
