Clan Description
Once upon a midnight dreary, while I pondered, weak and weary,
Over many a quaint and curious volume of forgotten lore,
While I nodded, nearly napping, suddenly there came a tapping,
As of some one gently rapping, rapping at my chamber door.
Tis some visitor, I muttered, tapping at my chamber door-
Only this, and nothing more.

- Poe

The Nevermore Vampire Clan is dedicated to gothic-themed light roleplaying. We ask that our members put some thought into writing their characters background and that they make an effort to regularly submit messages in-character.
Most importantly, we hope you have fun.

Send word to Drawlight if you have any questions.

At the moment, donations are most welcome.

Thank you!

Weekly News

At the present time, there are four unique Ranks available:

Priest (influence level 1)
Low Commitment, Low Risk
Gathering humans to worship the dragons of the night, the Priest easily manipulates a growing cult of mortals, maintaining a ready supply of blood and building power within the world that lives beneath sunlight.

Librarian (influence level 2)
High Commitment, Low Risk
With patience and determination, the wise Librarian works to find and deal in the hidden value of information, learning of what knowledge is at hand for the betterment of the Clan.

Emissary (influence level 2)
Low Commitment, High Risk
When at war, clear and current communication is essential to the Clans survival. The Emissary is a diplomat, a messenger that strives for the Clan to work together and a politician that cunningly recognizes a potential foe or enemy with a glance.

Paladin (influence level 3)
High Commitment, High Risk
A pillar of strenght in times of despair, the Paladin is a leader of men and a master warrior that guards the lands and lifes of the Clan, ever-watchfull of its weaknesses.

Any member may try to achieve one or more of these Ranks by investing gold into gaining enough Status. Each Rank is unique, which means it is weekly attibuted to the member with the greater Status within that Rank.

Investment is made by donating the chosen amount of gold and by sending a message to the Founder asking for that gold to be spent in Status Points. The cost of each Status Point is determined by the characters current level in the Monsters Game and by the Commitment indicated in the chosen Rank.

Cost per Status Point
Low Commitment - 20 gold x level
High Commitment - 40 gold x level

For example, if you have a level 8 character and wish to invest into 3 Paladin Status Points, you have to spend (40 x 8) x 3 = 960 gold.

At the end of the week, each members Status Point is rolled to check for the indicated Risk, which means that some or even all of the points may be lost.

Low Risk - 30% (success needs a 4 or higher on a d10)
High Risk - 60% (success needs a 7 or higher on a d10)

After that, the surviving Status Points are added to the current characters level to calculate his Status for that week.

In the example, the Founder rolls 3 d10s for each Paladin Status Point:
5 2 9
Only one Status Point remains so that is added to the characters level to determine his weekly Status within that Rank: 8 + 1 = 9.

Each Status Point that survives the Risk Test is also carried over into the next week. Additional Status Points can again be invested on as each member weekly competes for the coveted Rank.

Each unique Rank has a certain degree of influence which determines the number of Blood Hunts that member can call on per week. Blood Hunts shall be explained as soon as the first unique ranks are attributed.
